KNX smart home in Luxembourg: a house that listens, a standard that lasts

Every function is a component on the bus; you add more whenever you like. The most requested in Luxembourg:

• Lighting: dimming, “dinner”, “cinema” and “night” scenes, presence detection, all-off when you leave.
• Blinds and shutters: astronomical clock, wind and sun protection, privacy position in the evening.
• Heating and cooling: room-by-room control, setback when away, open window = heating off.

In a new build, the KNX bus is run everywhere from the shell stage, star-wired to the panel: the ideal moment, the extra cost is limited and the installation stays expandable without building work. In a renovation, we wire KNX where walls are open and use KNX RF (wireless, same standard) where they stay closed — all in a single ETS project.

For offices, shops and restaurants, KNX manages lighting, blinds, heating-ventilation and time schedules, with a simple overview for the manager. Energy savings often fund part of the installation.

• Works without cloud and without internet: the bus is local; remote access via app is optional.

We write the functional brief with you before talking products. We wire the bus, the panel and the power ourselves — one licensed contractor responsible for the whole. ETS programming and commissioning are carried out with KNXExpert, a certified KNX Partner; then we train you at handover and leave you the full documentation, ETS project included.
